Television sizes are fairly static and there are generally about a dozen different sizes you would be familiar with-- 26",32",37",42", etc.. This measurement describes the screen size as measured across the screen from corner to corner. The outside measurement of a television is much different, there can be literally thousands of variations of different sizes. For example; some TV's have speakers on the left and right side, some have speakers on the bottom, others may not have speakers at all. Each TV has a different molding and shape that the screen fits in.
   
    In creating our standard sizes, we chose ranges that would fit the majority of Television in its dimension size class. Our standard covers are designed to fit most (80-95%) of the TV's in each perspective diagonal size.  So Measuring your Television is obviously very important. The Television User Guide or Manual may give you this information however it may include the total height measurement with an optional stand. Rather than trusting your television documentation completely, it is best to verify the measurement using a trusty measuring tape. The width is the outside horizontal measurement, height is the vertical measurement, and edge depth is the thickness at the edges(Best measured from the top of the television).
